As part of this commitment, our privacy policy governs our actions as they relate to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.

We operate in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of Alberta and applicable federal legislation. This policy explains how we handle data for our website visitors, clients, and subcontractors.

We collect only the information necessary to conduct our business as a commercial construction, renovation, and building maintenance firm.

A. Information You Provide

When you contact us via our website, email, or during project initiation, we may collect:

  • Contact Information: name, company name, email address, phone number.
  • Project Details: site addresses, access instructions, and project specifications.
  • Payment Information: we do not store credit card details directly. Payments processed via credit card are handled securely through Intuit QuickBooks Online. We also accept cheque, cash, E-transfer (Interac), and EFT/wire transfers.

B. Automated Data Collection (Website)

Our website uses privacy-first analytics to understand how visitors engage with our site.

  • Analytics: we use privacy-first analytics tools that do not require cookies and do not collect personally identifiable information. Aggregate data such as page views, referrer, and general geographic region may be collected.
  • Purpose: this data is used solely to improve our website functionality and to understand the effectiveness of our public communications.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the Personal Information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Operations: to provide quotes, schedule crews, and manage construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
  • Communication: to contact you regarding project updates, scheduling, or billing.
  • Safety & Access: to ensure authorized access to job sites for our team and subcontractors.
  • Legal: to meet regulatory and tax obligations.

4. Mobile & SMS Privacy Statement

We respect your privacy regarding mobile communication. We use SMS (text messaging) for scheduling, appointment reminders, and project communication with stakeholders.

Strict carrier compliance:

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or lease your Personal Information to third parties. We may disclose your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Subcontractors & Trades: we share necessary project contact information and site location details with trusted subcontractors strictly for the purpose of completing the work contracted.
  • Service Providers: we use trusted third-party service providers to manage our operations. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data residency requirements where possible:
    • Microsoft 365 / Azure: used for email, document storage, and our operations platform. Data is hosted in the Canada Central region for data sovereignty.
    • Intuit QuickBooks Online: used for accounting and payment processing.
  • Legal Compliance: we will disclose information if compelled by law, such as a court order or subpoena.

6. Storage, Security, and Retention

Security

We protect your Personal Information using industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative security measures:

  • Digital: our operational data is stored on secure cloud servers (Microsoft Azure) located in Canada, utilizing enterprise-grade encryption and access controls.
  • Physical: physical records are stored in a locked, secured office in Calgary, Alberta.

Retention

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary:

  • Financial Records: retained for 7 years to comply with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements.
  • Operational Records: retained for 1 to 3 years following project completion, after which they are securely destroyed or anonymized.

Under Alberta PIPA, you have the right to request access to the Personal Information we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate.
